      Vio - Serverrules

      Important information first:

On Vio, the serverrules were created of pure necessity, to make the game playable for all players. Therefore, these rules are even above the principe of reallife.
Nevertheless, admins are allowed to interprete situations and circumstances according to the principe of reallife or to the rules that are listed here.
If a user violates against our rules repeatedly, he will be banned (in certain circumstances even permanently).
The adminteam of Vio-Reallife reserves the right to ban a player (temporarily or permanently) from the server, even if he doesn't violate against one of the rules that are listed here. This aims to keep the enjoyment of the game and the reallife feeling.
      Also applicable is:
If a player reduces the enjoyment of the game for one or more other players massively (by provocation), he will be punished.

      1. General rules
      1.1 Deathmatch
      • 1.1.1 Random DM is not a goal on our server and is therefore forbidden! As random "deathmatch" counts any DM that happens without a detectable reason. Screenshots should be taken for any conflicts in order to solve a misunderstanding later.
        • (as Deathmatch on Vio counts any violence. e.g.: Beating, kicking, use of arms or multiple ramming, drive over)
(Deathmatch counts as random when it happens without a detectable reason.)
      • 1.1.2 On our server are No-DM-Zones. In these zones, any DM is forbidden. One is not allowed to fight back. It is also not allowed to shoot into or to shoot out of the zone with firearms. The only exception is the chase of criminals. It's also forbidden to flee into one of these zones.
      • 1.1.3 The interiors of both the SFPD and the LVPD are a safezone. Any DM (except for policemen to defend or to chase criminals) is forbidden!
      • 1.1.4 One may only perform a driveby on other vehicles.
      • 1.1.5 A rocket launcher may always be used in a dispute. Private vehicles may only be shot at if they are actively used in the course of a gang or faction campaign. The Army may only do this if special vehicles or explosive weapons are used or an inmate has a wanted level of 5 or higher, is fleeing and has permission to shoot.
      1.2 Account
      • 1.2.1 Any natural person is allowed to registrate only once on our server and pledges to have no other accounts. If you play with other persons over the same IP-address or computer, you must report it to an admin in order to prevent trouble.
      • 1.2.2 Trade with real money on Vio-RL is forbidden. One is not allowed to trade ingame-values for real money. Buyer as well as seller will be banned.
      • 1.2.3 Values may be given away to other players only if all gifts given away by the donor together in the current month do not exceed $ 250,000.
      • 1.2.4 It is forbidden to sell its assets well below the current market value.
      • 1.2.5 When lending values, the terms and conditions must be recorded in writing in advance of the transfer, kept by both parties until the values are returned and presented to the adminteam upon request. In particular, a concrete return date must be mentioned on which the values must be returned to the lender. If the return deadline can not be met (for example because the lender is banned or not active), the support must be informed immediately. The sale or resale of lent values is prohibited. Values must be returned to the lender after 6 months at the latest.
      • 1.2.6 If you get values of more than $ 250,000 from a player within a month, you have to report this immediately to the support. The following applies to betting: The betting loss against a player may not be included. For example, if player A loses $100,000 against player B and then wins $300,000 from player B (e.g. /dice or Seventowers bets), the limit has still been exceeded.
      • 1.2.7 All sales or barter transactions with a value of $ 1,000,000 or more and other transactions (e.g. loans, lending) with a value of $ 250,000 or more must be documented using the contract system (/ agreements).
      1.3 Misc
      • 1.3.1 It's forbidden to blackmail users with complaints („Give me all your money or I'll write a complaint against you!!“).
      • 1.3.2 If a player discovers a bug (=mistake/malfunction ingame), it has to be reported to an admin immediately! If this malfunction had any effect (positive or negative) on the player's account, it has to be reported, too.
      • 1.3.3 Scam is forbidden! Any promises made must be kept. Violation will be punished with a ban. At landings, the server will not reimburse the money.
      • 1.3.4 During an event, the participating reporters and the players taking part in the event are protected from any actions of the regular gameplay (e.g. wanted hunt, blacklisting). Actions that interfere with the reporters' event-related activities are prohibited. Such events will be announced by an admin or reporter in the server-wide chat or in the forum.
        • Fun bids at auctions are prohibited. The final buyer is obliged to purchase the item for the winning bid within 3 days. The seller may not sell the item elsewhere and is also obliged to sell it.
      • 1.3.5 Suicide-escape and marker-escape as well as garage-escape is forbidden. Fleeing into a house is allowed only while being chased by the police.
      • 1.3.6 It's forbidden to plant drugs in other drugs or in garages.
      • 1.3.7 Heists can and may only be started by members of evil factions via /rob.
      • 1.3.8 The wantonly damaging of vehicles from other users is forbidden.
      • 1.3.9 It's forbidden to shoot through closed doors.
      • 1.3.10 Players that are on road together at the beginning of a situation are allowed to help each other, as long as it does not violate against other rules.
      • 1.3.11 Each player has to comply with general rules of conduct, which are self-evident when dealing with each other. Any offensive utterances are prohibited. Exceptions are slight insults, as long as they are clearly recognizable in the context of an in-game situation.
      • 1.3.12 The use of external programs designed to gain an advantage in MTA (commonly known as "cheats" or "hacks") is strictly prohibited, regardless of whether it was used on Vio-SA. In addition, we reserve the right to ban players from the server if there is sufficient suspicion that they are in possession of such a program.
      2. Reallife-rules

These rules serve to keep the RL-feeling. The admins are allowed to punish a player in the spirit of the rules, even if the exact wording does not fit.

      • 2.1 As in reallife, here are also road traffic regulations. Traffic lights are an exception. Right of way: On all roads applies right before left, except for highways and freeways.
      • 2.2 It is not reallife to always walk around with one's gun. If it's not needed it should be holstered.
      • 2.3 Playing reallife also means not to run away when someone aims at you. One has to act like in reallife. That means, one should think at the own surviving and follow all orders.
      • 2.4 Going offline while being chased (by the police) is forbidden. If this happens by a gamecrash or a connection error, one has to reconnect as soon as possible and to continue the situation with all affected persons.
      • 2.5 Rotoring other players with a helicopter is forbidden. That also applies to drive over people.
      • 2.6 Ramming other players wantonly is forbidden.
      • 2.7 It is not allowed to heal or re-equip oneself while being in a fight. The consumption of magic mushrooms is however permitted.
      • 2.8 Usage of throwable weapons and explosives are not allowed in interiors.
      • 2.9 As soon as a player clearly surrender by showing himself with animations (/ handsup, / hide), he is excluded from any course of the situation and may no longer participate in it (e.g. take part in combat, move vehicles, distraction). Exception: Escape without gun violence.

1.3.4 Events are often organized on Vio. Events may be announced by an admin in the /o chat or by a reporter with in-game news.

Any DM during events is prohibited.

During an event, any disruption (through non-real gameplay), including blacklist kills, is prohibited.
